Daniel Field Cancer Care Clinic
“We can't promise you perfection. We can promise your scalp, hair, face, and body the best chance — and whatever the results, with our support all the way, you’ll never need to go through it alone.”
Introduction
Chemotherapy saves lives — but it can also bring distressing side effects that affect your hair, scalp, skin, nails, and confidence. At Daniel Field Clinic, we specialise in helping you through these changes with safe, gentle products and personalised advice designed for chemotherapy patients.
Our Mission
• To protect your hair and scalp as much as possible during chemotherapy
• To improve your comfort during scalp cooling
• To care for your skin, body, and nails through treatment
• To support your recovery fully and faster afterwards
Our Role
We are not a competitor to scalp cooling providers such as Paxman, DigniCap, or Penguin. We are their natural partner — helping to make their systems safer, more comfortable, and more effective, while offering wider care that hospitals and generic brands.
Redefining Success
Most studies define scalp cooling success as “keeping at least 50% of your hair.” But we know patients themselves do not consider scalp cooling and still loosing 50% or any patches in any way a success.
They expect the final count to leave them with:
✔️ Even hair coverage, not patchiness
✔️ Less than 20–30% even thinning
✔️ Fast healthy regrowth afterwards, not chemo curls, not poor quality, and not slower growing unhealthy hair
✔️ The remaining hair in the same condition as it was when they started scalp cooling.
✔️ Confidence without the need for wigs, caps or scarves
✔️ No 'brain freeze' or 'ice cream head' for the first 9-10 minutes
✔️ No pain and no cold burns to their scalp
Our Promise
“Because every patient deserves more than survival — they deserve to feel like themselves as much as possible.”
Help Us Redefine Hair Loss Prevention in Chemotherapy
Your gift is doubled thanks to matched funding from the Field Foundation
💔 The Problem
Chemotherapy saves lives, but it often takes something deeply personal — your hair.
• Around 8 in 10 patients experience hair loss.
• Even with scalp cooling (cold caps), many are left with patchy, uneven regrowth that feels just as devastating as total loss.
• Clinical trials often call “success” if 50% of hair is preserved, even when patients are left distraught often with visible bald spots.
We believe patients deserve far better.

💡 Our Solutions
Over the last 13 years, more than 12,500 patients have used our antioxidant and mitochondrial support Scalp Cooling Booster alongside scalp cooling.
• Patients and cancer nurse specialist consistently report better than expected hair preservation and faster, healthier regrowth as well as numerous other benefits
• Importantly, the patients feels their hair looked and felt normal and less patchy than others in the chemo suites not using our extra support system.
• Across thousands of uses, no major safety issues have been reported.
Now, with your help, we can finally move from anecdotes → to solid clinical evidence.

🔬 The Clinical Trial at Guy’s Cancer Centre
We were initially approached by leading oncologist, Dr Anne Rigg about taking part in a pilot clinical trial to be conducted at Guy’s Cancer Centre, London — one of Europe’s leading cancer hospitals.
At the time we couldn't see how we could help to fund this. Many of our patients receive financial support from us for these specific products. We are now in a better position thanks in part the Field Foundation
• Where: Guy’s Cancer Centre, NHS oncology unit
• Who: Led by an oncology consultant specialising in breast cancer, with support from dermatology researchers, research nurses, and an independent statistician
• Patients: 20–40 breast cancer patients using scalp cooling
• Design: Split-scalp — booster applied to one half, placebo to the other
• Measures:
• Patient-reported cosmetic acceptability
• Photography-based patchiness scoring
• Hair density (trichoscopy)
• Quality of life surveys
Goal: To show that we can preserve not just more hair — but better quality hair, the way patients themselves define their post-chemo, healthy hair success.

🌟 Patient Voices
“I was told my treatment was a ‘success’ because I kept 40% of my hair. But what I saw in the mirror was patchy bald spots. It was harder than losing it all.”
“With the Daniel Field Scalp Cooling Booster System, I felt like I still looked like me. That was priceless.”
